The Candy Store Cup
Hosted by the Newport Shipyard and Bannister’s Wharf, this event brings three days of racing for J class yachts, superyachts and classics over 90’ LOA to race in the sound of Rhode Island by invitation. Sailing action can be seen from a number of locations notably Narragansett Bay’s East Passage. Post racing parties, evening events and parties will be entertained by New England’s yachting hub – the Newport Shipyard.
West Cork will be the place to be in July 2020 for all Classic Boat enthusiasts, and for anyone who enjoys sailing or watching sailing, in some of the most beautiful venues in the world. Recognising that there will be an unprecedented ‘Gathering’ of extraordinary boats in Cork to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Royal Cork Yacht Club, the Glandore Classic Regatta is being scheduled so that classic boats can participate in both events, and then go on to the Cowes Classic Regatta.
British Classic Yacht Club Regatta
See the largest fleet of classic yachts and modern classics racing together off Cowes. From Spirit Yachts to small William Fife’s and working boats, this regatta is central to Britain’s classic racing calender.
Three day sailing event in the Western Solent invovling classics and modern yachts. Sponsored by Taittinger Champagne and Charles Stantley Weath Managers, well known for the Towers party on Saturday!
Cork 300 Festival Fleet Review and Parade of Sail
In 1720, 25 sailors sat down and formed the Water Club of Cork (The Royal Cork Yacht Club).
Some three hundred years later, on Sunday 12th July 2020, there will be a fleet review for all Royal Cork visiting yachts and craft with the Admiral and Flag Officers of the yacht club and other dignitaries between two of the former club premises, on Haulbowline Island and the Sirius building in Cobh.
There will be a few surprises on the day and everyone is strongly encouraged to participate in what we believe will be a spectacle firing to celebrate where it all began.
This event will be followed by the much-anticipated Cobh Air Spectacular.
The 11th PUIG BARCELONA VELA CLÀSSICA regatta will take place off the coast of Barcelona from 11 to 14 July 2018.
Cork 300 Classic / Traditional Gatherings
A programme is being put together to allow for a classic/traditional craft class for participation in the Cork 300 ‘Great Gathering’. Check out the Cork 300 website for up-to-date information.
