New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta (U.S.)

166th Annual Regatta – North America's oldest annual event will feature three great days of racing including the separately scored Around-the-Island Race on Friday, buoy or navigation course racing, two awards parties and one fabulous regatta dinner on Saturday night. The competition will take place in IRC, ORC, ORR, PHRF and one-design classes, accommodating classic yachts and multihulls.
NYYC Annual Regatta, a 40 miler, was first won by 45-ton CYGNET, on the elapsed time of 5h26m, leading nine other entries in 1845. The Annual was run in close proximity to the Hudson River until 1988 when the NYYC acquired the Harbour Court premises in Newport, RI.
