Pin Mill Smack Match (UK)

Thought the east coast of England was muddy and ugly? Think again and just try sailing in the Orwell river. The match starts in the river and then parades down river and out to the Essex and Suffolk coastlines which boast landmarks such as ‘the naze’ at Walton-on-the-Naze, old Harwich and the Port of Felixstowe.
The match finishes in the tree-lined River Orwell and, finally, at the Butt and Oyster pub at Pin Mill – a favourite among most yachtsman. Contact the Smack Preservation Society for dates to see these beautiful Oyster Smacks sail.
